# Participating in the Portless Referral Program

The Portless Referral Program lets you earn $1 USD for every order Portless ships on behalf of a brand you've referred, up to $10,000 per brand with no limit on the number of brands you can refer. This article covers eligibility, how to submit a referral, and how the introduction process works.

## **Participate in the program**

You are eligible to participate if you meet all of the following:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are not a current Portless employee
- You have no legal or contractual obligation that would prevent you from making an introduction
- You have the brand's knowledge and consent before contacting them on Portless's behalf

**Note**: Current Portless customers and unaffiliated third parties are all eligible. Portless reserves the right to determine eligibility at its discretion.

## Check brand eligibility

A brand may be ineligible for a number of reasons, including:
- They are already a Portless customer or currently in active sales discussions with Portless
- They have already been registered to another referral partner
- They fall into a restricted product category (ie. CPG, liquids, perfumes)
- They do not meet Portless's minimum revenue or order volume thresholds
- The referral is a self-referral or involves an undisclosed ownership stake

# **Submit a referral**

To refer a brand, submit the referral form and make a documented introduction to a Portless team member, preferably by email. Before submitting, it's worth checking in with your Portless CSM or sales contact to confirm the brand would be a good fit,

## **Step 1 - Submit the referral form**

Go to [the form](/content/portless-referral/index.html) and provide your details along with the brand's legal name, website, and the email address of an authorized representative. Submit the form and wait to hear back.

## **Step 2 - Portless confirms eligibility**

Portless will review the submission and respond within 5 business days. You will receive written confirmation or a decline by email. ## **Step 3 - Make a documented introduction**

Once confirmed, you have 30 days to introduce the brand to a Portless team member. The introduction must be documented, using an email, a calendar invite, or a messaging-app thread that includes you, an authorized representative of the brand, and a Portless team member. Fees begin accruing only after both steps are on file and the brand has signed with Portless and begun shipping.

## **Restrictions**

When making an introduction, you may not negotiate pricing, quote rates, or make any commitment on Portless's behalf. You may not offer any incentive to a brand in exchange for taking a meeting or signing with Portless. Only one partner can earn fees per referred brand; if another partner was confirmed for the same brand before you, your submission for that brand will not be eligible.
