# Tracking Inventory through the Merchant Admin Portal

## **Key concepts and terms**
- **On Hand:** Total units physically in stock for a SKU, summed across all locations
- **Committed:** Units reserved for in-progress orders
- **Available:** Units available to promise; calculated as On Hand minus Committed

## **Things to keep in mind**
- Inventory totals on both pages reflect stock across all locations by default.
- Selecting a SKU gives you a more granular view. The inventory is broken down per location.

## **Where to view inventory**
Both the **Inventory** page and the **Products** page display summarized inventory totals per SKU across all locations.

1. Log in to the **[Merchant Admin Portal](https://portal.portless.com/)**.
2. Head to either the **Inventory** or **Products** tab.
3. To see a location-level breakdown, select a specific SKU. The detail screen shows inventory values per location along with full product information.
